Adult Education

"We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine... But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ..."

Discipleship involves a lifelong process of growth in personal holiness and in our understanding of the Christian faith. We believe that as a part of that God calls each of us to exercise our mind. Our goal at Messiah is to present learning opportunities for adults that are solidly based in Scripture and creed, and at the same time connect with the issues of daily life in ways that are practical and challenging. Adult education is offered on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 10:55, concurrently with the children’s and youth programs. Unless otherwise announced, sessions take place in the former chapel.

English Conversation Partners

During the Christian education hour Messiah also offers an opportunity for structured conversation for our non-English speaking parishioners, to familiarize them with the English language. Program and training materials are provided. If you would like to find out more about participating in this ministry, please speak to Eric Everman.
