Healing and Pastoral Ministries
Healing Team: the members of the healing
team provide healing ministry on Sunday mornings during
worship, offer classes in healing, are available for
appointments during the week, and offer training sessions
during the year. Contact: Church Office
Intercessory Prayer: A group of people
meet on Monday nights at the church to pray for special
concerns and the life of the community. In addition, a
prayer chain is offered for prayers in times of crisis
for Messiah members and their families. Contact: Lacey Steele and Connie Schoppe
Hospital Visits: Visits are made to
members who are seriously ill in the hospital. Contact: Church Office
Weddings/Baptisms/Funerals: The services
of marriage, baptism and burial are performed for
members. Baptism is offered within the Sunday morning
worship several times per year. Marriage preparation
counseling is done by the pastoral staff. Contact: Church Office
Crisis Counseling: Crisis counseling is
offered to members by the pastoral staff as needed and
requested. Contact: Church Office
Parish Health Ministry: The Parish
Health Ministry exists to integrate and strengthen the
physical, emotional and spiritual health of the
congregation. The goals are: 1) To provide
educational programs and health counseling that promote
an understanding of the relationship between lifestyle,
attitudes, faith and well being. 2) To provide
information and assistance to individuals and families in
locating and obtaining needed support services and
